Heather was raised near the beach in SoCal. In her early 20’s she brought the California, salty, effortless hair inspiration back with her as she attended Avalon School of Cosmetology in Phoenix, AZ, scholarship in hand. In school she was naturally drawn to balayage and blonding.

After graduating in 2016, she began working with brands and won competitions, both local and national. In 2020 she made Modern Salon magazine’s top 100, which highlights up and coming names in the hair world. Although exciting, she was only 6 years into doing hair when she developed allergies to color and bleach, often leaving her with chronic sinus infections and other reoccurring symptoms. She knew it was the poor air quality and constant exposure.

In January 2025, she decided it was time to take her health and career into her own hands and open her own salon. She invested years of her personal savings into opening The Strand House Salon in Gilbert, which celebrated its grand opening in late June ‘25. She has poured her heart and soul into this space because she believes the beauty industry is ready to make a change.
